2022 Volkswagen Tiguan vs 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan

Serving Milwaukee, WI

At Volkswagen of Milwaukee North, we want our valued customers to pick out a new crossover SUV that delivers up to their expectations in all areas. The Tiguan is a popular compact crossover SUV with extensive appeal in terms of style, features, and capabilities, so it understandably has your full attention today. While the 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan is a mid-generational version, it has a few notable updates that you need to be aware of before you make your next purchase.

Performance

Under the hood, the 2022 Tiguan has a few modest revisions. However, the primary features hold steady. For both years, you will find a four-cylinder, turbo 2.0-liter engine mated to an eight-speed auto transmission for all trim levels. This combo produces 184 horsepower. If you opt for the front-wheel drive, the Tiguan will have three rows in its cabin. The all-wheel drive drivetrain comes with the option for a third row.

Appearance

Compared to the 2021 Tiguan, the 2022 model has been restyled beautifully throughout the exterior. The new façade design is confident, with horizontal lines running through the side doors and across the angled hood. The roof descends boldly toward the power liftgate. The façade is also defined by black body molding, a trailer hitch, at least 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, a chrome-lined grille, and a power sunroof.

Features

You will also find a few additional updates to the 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan inside the cabin. For example, the model now comes with wireless connectivity for the smart device integration. In addition, it has a digital display cluster and touch access for the steering wheel controls. Other interior features found in both the 2021 and 2022 versions of the Tiguan are heated front seats, a push-button engine starter, adaptive cruise control, the Car-Net app, USB ports, forward-collision mitigation, and more.
