2025 Volkswagen Atlas

The 2025 Atlas lineup includes six distinct trims: SE, SE with Technology, Peak Edition SE with Technology, SEL, Peak Edition SEL, and SEL Premium R-Line. The base SE features 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, and power-operated heated side mirrors. The SE with Technology and Peak Edition SE with Technology add 20-inch machined alloy wheels. The Peak Edition SE with Technology includes black roof rails and exterior accents. Moving up to the SEL brings a power tilting/sliding panoramic sunroof and illuminated light bar across the grille. The Peak Edition SEL incorporates these features plus black roof rails and exterior accents. The SEL Premium R-Line tops the range with 21-inch two-tone machined alloy wheels, R-Line exterior styling, unique bumpers, and model-specific badging. All trims showcase a redesigned front grille with a prominent VW logo.

Every 2025 Atlas trim features a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 269 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission delivers power to either the standard front-wheel-drive system or available 4MOTION all-wheel drive. The start-stop system helps maximize fuel efficiency during city driving.

The Atlas accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds and offers a 4,700-pound maximum towing capacity with the factory-installed trailer hitch. The Driving Mode Selection system includes Normal, Eco, Sport, and Custom modes. Models with 4MOTION all-wheel drive gain Snow and Off-Road mode settings. Front-wheel-drive models achieve EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of 19 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.

The Atlas provides a 12-inch center touchscreen display and three-zone automatic climate control as standard features. SEL, Peak Edition SEL, and SEL Premium R-Line trims add the 12.3-inch Digital Cockpit Pro, leather seating surfaces, and heated steering wheel. The SEL Premium R-Line includes heated and ventilated front seats and 30-color ambient lighting. Passenger space measures 61 cubic feet in front, 53 cubic feet in the middle row, and 39 cubic feet in the rear. Cargo capacity begins at 20.6 cubic feet behind the third row, expands to 55.5 cubic feet with the third row folded, and reaches 96.8 cubic feet with both rear rows folded.

The IQ.DRIVE driver-assistance technology suite includes forward collision warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, and blind-spot monitoring with rear traffic alert. Higher trims add adaptive cruise control with stop and go. SEL, Peak Edition SEL, and SEL Premium R-Line feature Park Distance Control, while the SEL Premium R-Line exclusively offers the Area View 360-degree camera system. Travel Assist enhances safety through the Active Blind Spot Monitor by providing counter-steering assistance. Front Assist with Pedestrian Monitoring actively scans for potential hazards ahead of the vehicle.
