The 2025 Volkswagen Jetta shows off a refreshed interior and exterior look along with upgraded standard tech this year. It features new front and rear fascia, headlights, 17-inch and 18-inch wheel designs, and a light bar between the tail lamps. Meet the latest iteration of this legendary compact car, which has been a best-seller for generations.

Performance and Fuel Economy

The Jetta features a 158-horsepower engine with front-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. You’ll get 184 pound-feet of torque and up to 40 highway miles per gallon, which is exceptional efficiency for a gas-powered sedan.

Performance options include an electronic locking differential and 17-inch or 18-inch wheels in place of the standard 16-inch wheels. You can also add a rear spoiler. The 2025 Jetta achieved a 7.1-second zero-to-60 time in Car and Driver testing, impressive for a small sedan.

Interior Design

You can comfortably accommodate five people in the Jetta. It also has above-average cargo space of more than 14 cubic feet, with useful add-ons like a cargo box attachment and console organizing tray. The cabin comes with standard dual-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with a control pad, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

You can select from four interior color schemes. Some models have unique accents like stainless-steel pedal caps. Higher Jetta trims incorporate enhancements like synthetic or genuine leather upholstery, embossed patterned cloth upholstery, CloudTex perforated upholstery, push-button start, remote start, and proximity keyless entry. This car is available with ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, and ambient interior lighting.

Upgraded Tech Features

The Jetta has been updated with a new standard 8-inch touchscreen for 2025. The base trim also has an 8-inch digital display, smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a four-speaker stereo, and dual USB ports.

The VW Car-Net infotainment software supports gesture controls, and higher trims have voice commands. You can add wireless charging, the wireless versions of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, HD and satellite radio, a 10.25-inch digital gauge, built-in navigation, and a premium nine-speaker Beats Audio stereo.

Driver Assistance Equipment

Each Jetta trim comes with the latest safety tech, including Travel Assist, Emergency Assist, and Lane Assist systems. Standard features include rain-sensing windshield wipers, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and more. Automatic headlights are optional.
